Scientist I (Stormwater)

RES is looking for a Scientist I with zero to three years of relevant work experience to be based out of our Fort Lauderdale, FL office.

What your day-to-day might look like?

Around 50% of the time you will be in the field, performing NPDES inspection of stormwater assets. The remaining time will be spent preparing and/or reviewing reports generated based on the field activities performed.

Note that we perform these tasks in Florida’s hot, humid environment for extend periods of time, in natural and disturbed land settings with potential exposure to biting and stinging insects, venomous snakes and spiders, wild animals and other hazards, so being an avid outdoorsperson is necessary to thrive in this position.

Qualifications

We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:

• B.S. in an environmental science-related field (such as but not limited to ecology, forestry, botany, geology, soils, hydrology, marine biology, environmental science, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
