Internship Description
Position:                    Education & Outreach Intern
Reports to:               Director of Professional Education     
Position Status:        Part-time, 16 hours/week from March - August 2022 (with possible extension)
Location:                   New York Office / Miami Office / Remote
 
 
The Education & Outreach Intern will play an important role in managing strategic communications around the outreach and promotion of our suite of virtual and in-person professional education programs at the Foundation. This role is ideal for students with an interest in marketing, digital advertising, and/or communications.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
 
·       Assist the Professional Education team, in the day-to-day management of professional education programs, both in-person and online
·       Design, support, and manage outreach strategy to (a) increase participation in professional education programs, (b) increase awareness of professional education and other clinical resources, with appropriate tailored messaging to diverse constituencies (e.g., researchers, allied health professionals, neurologists, nurses, etc.), and (c) draft and oversee electronic outreach plan
·       Collaborate with Education and Communications Departments to maximize promotional and media opportunities around educational programs
·       Assist as needed in coordinating and implementing training programs
 
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
 
·       Rising senior or graduate student preferred
·       One year of prior experience (volunteer and professional experience considered), preferably in a non-profit setting
·       Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
·       Must be able to draft, edit, and finalize well-written, error-free content as needed
·       Must be an on-the-job learner who can quickly understand basic concepts in clinical neurology
·       Must be dependable, flexible, resourceful and detail oriented with ability to work in a team environment
·       Strong Microsoft Office proficiency required
·       Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge a plus
·       Bi-lingual English-Spanish speakers strongly encouraged to apply
