Case Management Intern

Our Psychosocial Rehabilitation Facility is located in Miami Gardens, Pompano, and Belle Glade. At this time, we are recruiting students to intern at one of our various site locations for the 2021 School Year. The population we serve are youth between the ages of 5-17 years old, as well as adults. Services provided include Individual and Family Therapy, PSR Groups, and Targeted Case Management.
We are interested in selecting interns with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in: Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Mental Health, Marriage and Family, Therapy, Healthcare Administration, and Occupational Therapy.

Internship Description:

Case Management interns (Bachelor’s level) will be responsible for maintaining contact on a weekly basis with assigned clientele and provide an ongoing collaborative assessment of their individualized needs. Interns will also be responsible for providing/developing Service Plans for each client upon Intake and connect clients to additional resources within their community based on identified needs. Interns will be responsible for scheduling and maintaining regular appointments with each client, advocate for clients and their needs, monitor progress, and continuously aide the clients with meeting their goals.
While interning with Community Connections for Life students will be able to accomplish the following:

·       Meet Internship/Program requirements for graduation.
·       Establish personal work ethics within the clinical field.
·       Gain experience utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) programs.
·       Learn necessary skills to construct an enriching professional relationship with clients. 

Internships will last the duration of 2 Semesters.

Student Interns are expected to work full-time (40 hours/week) or a minimum of 20 hours/per week.

Interns will be mentored by their assigned Therapist/Group Facilitator, Internship Coordinator, and our Operations & Program Director.
