InfoSec Summer Intern
Overview
The security researcher intern will be a junior architect on our InfoSec (information security team). You will research information about how our systems work, designing reviews and generating reports for our product teams, as well as perform analysis on our secure systems. You will also participate in our summer intern programming including networking and professional events.
Successful candidates will have a passion strengthening security and a desire to enrich their research experience related to that field.
As a Security Researcher intern, your job responsibilities may include:
-Develop a design review training corpus from the series of pre-arch and Arch Group raw Etherpad notes
-Investigate the use of unsafe memory functions in our code base
-Develop metadata-navigation and analysis tools
-Perform statistical analysis for terabit resilience
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
*Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a related field and returning to the program after completion of the internship.
*Available to work during the 40-hour workweek.
Required Skills
* Experience with one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Javascript, HTML/CSS
Desired Skills
* Strong demonstrated interest in security
* Strong mathematical background and skills
* Prior experience in research or as a security intern
* Strong communication skills

About the Summer Internship Program
The Akamai Summer Internship Program is designed to give students the opportunity to apply their skills, gain valuable experience, and contribute to the organization in a meaningful way.
