Undergraduate Research Volunteer - Dental Medicine

Position description: Undergraduate Research Volunteer/Unpaid
Student Participation: Dr. Diego Dalla-Bona and third year dental student Steven Randall are looking for 1-2 College of Engineering and Computing students to work in conjunction with the College of Dental Medicine in creating a virtual patient that will be used as a teaching tool for future students as they enter the dental clinic. All of the clinical information (radiographs, intraoral photos, medical history, etc.) will be provided by Dr Dalla-Bona and Steven Randall.
Time Commitment: 5-10 hours per week; summer hours may be available.
​Minimum GPA & Major: 3.0 GPA/ College of Engineering/Computing
Skills/Experience: Candidates for this project are ideally creative, great problem solvers and able to code the program we will be creating.

Please see the following link to and briefly run through the program to get an idea of what the project will entail. This was created to test skills in orofacial pain diagnosis and management whereas we will be focusing on clinical dentistry.
Interested students must have programming experience.
