NSU Undergraduate Research Volunteer: Genomic Research

Focus: Genomic Research focusing on multi-symptom disorders (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Gulf War Illness) by looking at gene expression and regulation of gene expression in the immune blood cells.
Position description: Research Volunteer/Unpaid
Student Participation: We are looking for talented undergraduates interested in genomic research to analyze large datasets. Depending on the experience of the undergraduate, the lab duties may vary.
Time Commitment: At least 10 hours per week

Skills/Experience:
·  Programming experience in R language (experience in Perl and Python is a plus);
·  Genetics and Cell Molecular Biology courses preferred; and
·  Previous research experience preferred.
