Federal Training Specialist

This position is located in the Health Resources and Services Administration, Bureau of Primary Health Care, Office of the Associate Administrator, Division of Workforce Management. The duty location for this position is in Rockville, Maryland.





Responsibilities

As a Training Specialist, you provide expertise in planning, development, presentation, and evaluation of adult training and education programs.

Your major duties and responsibilities include:
  • Developing total course content to meet defined course objectives for courses in a broad specialty area, a subject-matter field, or a cluster of courses.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of the application of education/training principles to a wide range of training problems and deficiencies.
  • Investigating new concepts and innovations applicable to external evaluation efforts and to specific training and initiates proposals for pure and hybrid application to such training.
  • Evaluating course planning and conducts validity and reliability studies to analyze things such as test items prepared by instructors.
  • Participating in planning and developing or evaluating and revising the curriculum for a training program or an academic department.
  • Leading meetings with personnel from other organizations and programs to develop or evaluate programs or specific highly technical trainings based on needs and available resources.
