MCCJ VISTA - Training and Partnership Coordinator

This position has two goals:

1) To assist in the eradication of community-wide practices that divide, isolate, and create bias and inequity, through the assembly of an MCCJ training team, facilitation of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training, activities and programs, and the provision of coaching and instruction regarding systemic racism and its nexus between poverty and mental health and wellness, in a manner that enhances the education and understanding of DEI, tracked objectively with engagement measures that include attendance, surveys, pre and post-tests, and other evaluative best practice measures as researched. Subjective measures will include efforts to monitor and track increased empathy and action toward equity and social justice.

2) To work extensively with a wide range of diverse, local government, business, academic, philanthropic, and nonprofit community partners who work to advance social and economic priorities throughout Miami-Dade, and ultimately spanning to national and international partners. Partnerships will align with MCCJ’s mission to embrace diversity and build an inclusive community in the manner of eradicating community-wide practices that divide, isolate, and create bias and inequity. Partnerships and partnership activities will be evaluated by a metrics that includes, but is not limited to, the number of partnerships created, the extent of partnership measured by engagement levels, and the outcomes produced by each partnership.
