Embedded SW Engineer
Job Description
Electric Boat Corporation is seeking an individual to serve as a Configuration Management engineer in support of Navy programs. The individual will work on site at the Electric Boat facilities in Groton and New London CT.
The successful candidate will support the Project Manager in all aspects of Configuration Management in both team lead and team member roles including Configuration Management Planning, Configuration Identification, Configuration Control, Change Management, Software Build Management, Configuration Status Accounting/Reporting, and Configuration Audits.
Software Build Management requires cursory knowledge with software and information technology systems. The individual shall possess the skills necessary to interface with and provide oral and written products to Electric Boat management and Navy personnel.
Infrequent business travel in support of this position is possible.
Education/ Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering or equivalent technical degree
- Experience with information technology, software engineering, or software build management
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer/Software Engineering and Information Technology
- US Navy, DoD contractor, or similar complexity experience.
- Experience with the Formal Configuration Management tools (DOORS, Rational Team Concert, Synergy, ClearCase, Change, ClearQuest, Rational Change, IBM JAZZ, Microsoft Access, Oracle, Filemaker Pro, problem trouble report / change request databases)
- Leadership experience in leading and developing teams.
