Cost Accountant
Job Title: Accountant
Duration: 12 months
Location Brooklyn Park, MN
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Candidate is responsible for supporting new product introduction cost analysis as well as legal entity accounting.
- General ledger accounting, and special projects as needed.
Typical Day:
- Half of the month will be spent monitoring and updating various system and excel reports related to product cost tracking and provide updated analysis, completing sourcing changes financial analysis, support spent tracking and other general cost support.
- Other half of the month will be spent working on the legal entity month end closing activities, internal controls testing, A/P reconciliations, etc.
Education Requirements:
- Four year degree required. Accounting degree preferred, but Finance degree is fine as well.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting and financial analysis.
Technical Skills:
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel).
- Candidate will use Excel to complete data extractions from SAP and running pivot tables. At a minimum intermediate user needed.
- Financial Reporting experience preferred.
- SAP experience a plus.
- Costing experience preferred.
- Month end closing experience preferred.
