Child Welfare CQI Manager

This role serves as a Program Manager over five (5) Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Units - Quality Assurance, Child and Family Team Meeting Facilitation, Training, NCFAST On-site Support, Data Analytics. It directly supervises four (4) Supervisors and one (1) Data Analyst, and co-supervises one (1) assistant. This position reports directly to the Child Welfare Division Director.

Essential Functions:
  • Meets with Director, Assistant Directors, and North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) to report on division compliance.
  • Meet with and support peer managers in their analysis and integration of data and performance trends of their staff.
  • Meet with CQI section supervisors and staff.
  • Participate and contribute to the Child Welfare Leadership Team meetings with a focus on consistent practice throughout the county.
  • Receive, investigate, and resolve complaints from staff and consumers. 
  • Review, analyze, and make recommendations related to training, NCFAST implementation, Child and Family Team Meetings, OSRI and peer reviews, Modified Manual implementation, and MOU performance measures.
  • Oversee the Program Development Plan, providing updates to NCDHHS, coordinating quarterly reviews and annual meetings, and facilitate the implementation of strategies and activities to address findings.
  • Participate in and lead work groups charged with implementing policy or developing protocols or with other special projects. 

Additional duties include participating as a member of Human Services Networks meetings, and other committees charged with promoting child, youth, and family well-being, and integration of efforts across programs and divisions. Also, this role will take the lead in developing and maintaining partnerships and collaboration with community groups and service providers (internal and external).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or related field
  • Continuous Quality Improvement management experience including best practice in research and completed national research, data analysis, and use gathered information to implement program and process change
  • Six (6) years of Child Welfare Supervisor or Management experience
  • Electronic case management system experience
